Folks, The Seismic Window of December 10-17, 2008 will include the highest tidal force since 1993, based on the expremely close lunar perigee, just 4 hours before the Full Moon. Also the solsticial tides will reach a maximum on December 21s and we are nearing the yearly closest approach to the Sun (perihelion) on January 4th.
The tidal range at the Golden Gate has never measured more than 9.2 ft. and it will be 9.1 ft. on December 12th. (You may have noticed that the Secondary Window with the last New Moon produced severe flooding in Venice, Italy.
(What will the next Full Moon do do Venice, California?
Watch for SoCal quake(s) of 4.0-6.5M during the Seismic Window. Watch forNorCal quakes of 4.0-6.5M during the Window. Watch for Northwest quakes of 4.0-6.5M during the Window (WA/OR) Watch for global quakes of 7.0+M, especially around the Ring of Fire.
All of these "watches" are my "official" predictions, with 85% confidence.
(I hit four of four during the Nov 11-18 past Window.) topped by the 5.4 off the coast of Oregon on Nov.14.)

The highest tides in fifteen years. Probably it isn't time for three major quakes in that one quake-prone state at the same time but three quakes above a 7 even within the same 24hrs. in various places on the globe sure does sound possible, or even likely?

There is a great deal of risk this month. However, the quake in 2004 in Indonesia was set off by man trying to open up the gas production. However, that area was a mess and such a quake would have been expected at some point anyway, which is why man's technology was able to set off such a massive quake, it was ready to go.

Candace, there were also reports of heavy "Gamma Ray" bursts in the area about when it happened also, but your most likely correct, I can remember reading reports of some people on an ship in the ocean watching the flash under the water going along the sea floor right before the tusuami happened, they thought it was an "attack" or Navy operation from the Gamma Ray bursts going on perhaps. I also know your correct in that they were drilling for oil in the area at one time also.

Or it could have been earthquake lights, commonly seen in great earthquakes in subduction zones, however i also have the feeling this quake had something man-made in it....we will never know.

Magnitude 5.1 earthquake hits near Ludlow, in San Bernardino County
The moderate quake is felt from Los Angeles to San Diego. No damage is reported.
By Jessica Garrison December 6, 2008 A magnitude 5.1 earthquake rumbled across Southern California on Friday night.
The moderate quake occurred at 8:18 p.m. near Ludlow, in San Bernardino County, just east of Barstow, and could be felt from Los Angeles to San Diego.
No damage was reported.
"It was just a quick little rolling earthquake, really light," said Jeremy Chestnut, 20, who works at the 76 Gas Station/Dairy Queen on Interstate 40 in the town of Ludlow.
"I was standing in front of an ice cream machine and it makes the ground shake too."
"Everyone here is OK," Chestnut added, saying nothing was broken as far as he could tell.
Barstow police officials said they had not heard any reports of injuries or property damage.

It's a trip to see the great variety of places that have popped in the last 36 or so hours days before the Perigee and full moon at the same time. Does give pause to just how many other places will pop in the next ten or so days, doesn't it? God bless and be with any and everyone that may be about to have the opposite of a merry Christmas.
Any of you have mixed emotions or even ominous feelings? I'm feeling mixed, mixed signals....a bit soberminded and seriously concerned and then thankful and relaxed but "bugged" to look at the map as often as I can.
